A heritage street in old Amritsar

About

A small home in the holy city.

Backpacker's Nest is a small, heritage-loving stay tucked just a 7-minute walk from the Harmandir Sahib — the Golden Temple — in the heart of Amritsar.

We built this place for travellers who want more than a bed: who want to wake to the sound of the gurbani drifting from the temple, walk into the marble parikrama before sunrise, and come home in the evening to a quiet courtyard, a hot meal, and people who actually want to know where you've been today.

Amritsar is a city that rewards walking. From our doorstep you can find the Town Hall, the painted ceilings of the temple complex, the bustle of Hall Bazaar and the carved doorways of the old city — all without a tuk-tuk.
